Lasse Lecklin (b. 1982) is a Finnish photographer from Helsinki. Identity of a place, constructed environment and the connection of human being to the nature are in the core of his interest. His mediums are photography and video, often working on the field between documentary and conceptual art.
Master of Arts in photography in 2015 from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki, Lecklin has previously also studied photojournalism at Tampere University, photography in Konstfack College of Arts and Crafts in Stockholm and in the School of Visual Arts in New York, and fine arts at the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Lecklin's latest solo show "Atmorelational" took place at the Gallery Forum Box in Helsinki, Finland, and dealt with themes of human’s relation to, and effects on nature and featured video and photographic works resulting from collaboration with natural scientists specializing in the arctic, forming a body of work that crosses between the arts and sciences. Lecklin's work has last been on show in Copenhagen, in Torshavn, Faroe Islands in Wiesbaden, Germany and in Turku, Finland. His latest works can be seenin the Finnish Museum of Photography, in Helsinki, where the exhibition "Crossings" is open from June 10 to August 31, 2020.
Lecklin is also a member of the collective SubZero - Thematic Network on Communicating Arctic Research.
